Third ANNUAL FISING FOR A CURE FLUKE TOURNAMENT !
(Benefitting the Long Island Chapter of the MS SOCIETY)
Winning fluke was an impressive 9.55lb specimen! Eric Gewirtz is the lucky angler!
Mike Redmond and his Second place fluke of 6.55lb fluke and Mike Cotter with a 4.10lber sea bass that took first in the bonus division.
Some nice fish hit the scales at Woodcleft Fishing Station Atlantis Anglers Members with their catch.
Atlantic Beach Rod and Gun club president Lloyd Malsin receives the club division trophy. Their combined weigth of their three biggest fish was imperssive at 16.95lbs.
Team Frankie James with Chasin Tails Capt Joey Leggio and Jersey Justin had a great day as they took a limit and had the third place fish caught by Sean Low at 6.05 lbs.
The Guys on the Miss Beryl did a nice job on the flatties also, taking a limit of fluke up to 4.80 lbs.
Hungry fish and hungry anglers were aboundant on this day!
The Fisherman magazine sent over some issues and some gift certificates for subscriptions. Here a happy participant shows off the fluke special issue.

Tournament Committee Chairman Mike Bobetsky and Family, who all lended a helping hand in working weigh stations, signing up people the morning of the event.
The Awards Festivities were held at Johnny Malones of Wantagh, the food and service were excellent as the staff did their restaurant proud!
Anglers were awarded their prizes which consisted of CUSTOM AND PRODUCTION RODS, ALONG WITH NICE TACKLE BASKETS PROVIDED BY NUMEROUS OTHER SPONSORS SUCH AS OLDSALTETACKLE.COM, BAYPARKFISHING STATION, ASGARD JIGS, THE GREAT SOUTH BAY TACKLE CO. , & FISHING UNITED.COM
We held raffles and auctions to raise money for the charity. Items were donated by Baypark Fishing station, Harveys Killer Fluke Teasers, Captree Bait & Tackle, Woodcleft Fishing Station, The Fishfinder party boat out of Captree Boat Basin, The Capt Lou Fleet, and oldsaltetackle.com, Bucktail Boys, and Bobs Bait and tackle , the Great south Bay tackle company and Lindenhurst bait and tackle also.
Everyone had a good time and promissed to be back next year!

Prizes were given for the three largest fluke weighed in. Here are some of the prizes which included custom rods from Joeys custom rods, Rodwinder custom rods, and production rods and reels from various companies! Of course there were also lots of tackle items donated to each of the winners by our generous sponsors.

The Atlantis Anglers had a great time and did well in the event weighing in many fluke coming in third in the club division.
